The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation of all Financial Reports including Financial Statements, Budgets, Forecasts, Strategic Plan Projections, Project Reports and Tax Packages. The Senior Financial Analyst will supervise all work activities related to the organizing, directing and controlling of the company financial systems and is responsible for the purchase and control of all material assets and contracted services required by the company.

• Ensures the integrity and maintenance of financial information in all management information systems.

• Ensures that financial information is provided to management on a timely basis.

• Prepares the monthly and annual financial reporting packages.

• Responsible for performing accounting research and maintaining a strong working knowledge of IFRS.

• Works with stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.

• Participates in meetings as required to ensure matters of mutual concern are promptly addressed and resolved.

• Contributes to the development and refinement of company policies and procedures. Prepares internal financial control procedures and ensures staff adherence to approved procedures.

• Maintains the development of financial systems, practices and procedures to improve the efficiency of the Organization

• Works with external auditors and ensures the preparation of audit files and any additional requirements for the annual company audits and submission of tax returns.

• Maintains the general ledger, and applicable schedules and other necessary balance sheet account details as required. Maintains fixed asset records. Prepares and maintains monthly standard journal entries

• Responsible for all warranty management and control.

• Conducts regular procedural audits to ensure as required.

• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized College or University with a degree in Finance or Accounting

• Three years accounting or finance experience

• Requires strong administrative, communication and people skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision

• A combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
