Infosys is seeking a Technical Business Analyst-Mining . This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications :

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

Preferred Qualification :

  • Preferably, candidates should possess Mining domain knowledge and having good working experience in Mining Industry.
  • In absence of experince in mining domain, candidate should have good understanding and experience in Oil & Gas, or heavy industry.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand the current business environment, identify business needs, and assist in finding/devloping fit for purpose solution.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and/or functional requirements
  • Develop and maintain business process models and data flow diagrams with good understanding of tools like MS Visio, etc.
  • Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential solutions.
  • Good understanding and experience of application/solution evaluation framework and selection of fit for purpose solution as per requirements.
  • Proven experience of evaluating RFI/RFP responses and make compilation for better decision making.
  • Develop and present recommendations to stakeholders
  • Work with stakeholders to define, implement and support solutions
  • Assessing business processes, proactively identifying needs, uncovering areas for enhancement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Leading ongoing assessments of business processes and devising strategies for optimization.
  • Proficiency in comprehending and crafting user and customer personas to offer actionable insights aimed at enhancing conversions and user experiences.
  • Crafting progress reports, proposals, and various documents and presentations for active monitoring and implementation of both existing and new programs.
  • Focusing on hands-on implementation and the impact of various changes to products, processes, and business operations, maintaining a high level of accountability.
  • Continuous primary and secondary research into existing business lines and distribution channels, benchmarking against best practices, and exploring new business processes and opportunities.
  • Conducting market research into potential new business segments and lines, involving both theoretical and on-site investigations.
  • Coordinating reviews and updates for various initiatives and action items across multiple teams to ensure adherence to the established plan.
  • Providing pre-sales support, including responding to RFP/RFQ requests, delivering demos, conducting POCs, and contributing to proposals and case studies.
  • Recommending suitable solutions for business challenges and suggesting value-added features to help clients stay competitive.
  • Preparing and reviewing project documents such as BRD, FRS/FRD, use cases, user stories, and RTM, and working towards obtaining stakeholder sign-offs.
  • Creating and executing project plans, sprint plans, resource allocation, and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Identifying and managing project prerequisites, out-of-scope items, assumptions, risks, change requests, and future project scope.
  • Ensuring project delivery within the projected timeframes and budget, in line with agreed-upon SLAs and the highest quality standards.
  • Developing prototypes in collaboration with the UX design team and obtaining stakeholder approvals.
  • Proficiency in conducting internal and external training sessions, including the creation of training manuals and materials.
  • Ensuring timely invoicing to clients upon successful completion of project scope.
  • Collaborating with the testing team to ensure comprehensive coverage of requirements.
  • Demonstrating the ability to influence stakeholder relationships and drive consensus.
  • Evaluating the market, identifying potential enhancements through competitor analysis, and executing these enhancements for clients while exploring new opportunities and approaches.
  • Facilitating and taking ownership of project initiation, scheduling meetings for project walkthroughs, demonstrations, and providing UAT (User Acceptance Testing) support

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Extensive travel may be required as per client and project needs
