The Project Manager takes responsibility for planning and monitoring projects, as well as ensuring the necessary resources and people are allocated to complete each project. The ideal candidate serves as the liaison between project stakeholders and contributors who carry out the project. In this role, the project manager must balance the needs and goals of multiple parties, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial. Their priorities are to keep projects on schedule, within scope, and on budget so our organization can stay organized and use resources effectively.

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the project team of internal and external resources to ensure performance by providing direction, guidance and motivation
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation activities
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing and refining scope during the project lifecycle, setting project level KPIs and reporting against these through the project lifecycle
  • Analyze project status and, when necessary, advise leadership regarding recommended changes to the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including internal partners and external vendors
  • Report project updates weekly (including Gantt and dashboard, risk, action, issues and decision log) and escalate issues, as necessary, to ensure timely resolution and achieve project outcomes

Required Skills and Experience

  • Four or more years of project management experience, preferably deploying contact centre / customer experience specific technologies
  • Highly organized, with an ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly adapting, Agile-based environment with a strong software / web development culture
  • Adept at identifying and supporting effective change management strategies
  • Proven success working with all levels of an organization, with an emphasis on a customer service mentality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft productivity tools including MSProject, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with contact centre / customer service stakeholder teams
  • Experience documenting business processes
  • Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 (either actively pursuing or completed)
  • Experience in coaching project team members to strengthen their abilities and skill sets
  • Experience in building program / project management best practices and processes
