Aislelabs is a leading SaaS and data intelligence business providing marketing and people counting solutions to operators of thousands of physical spaces around the world. We help our customers acquire new customers via high ROI wi-fi email acquisition while helping operations leaders understand building usage through digital twins of their built environment. We're a profitable, growing SaaS business with teams clustered around legacy office locations in Toronto, Dubai and India.

Summary

Join Aislelabs as our lead marketer, responsible for driving the business into its next phase of growth (we're aiming for 100% growth over the next 2-3 years). As a true SaaS marketer, you understand that the digital conversion funnel means you are first and foremost a performance marketer - delivering MQLs - and as a result, a year-over-year growing marketing budget. You will own all marketing execution and have a strong growth opportunity, writing your future job description(s) as you grow from one role, to the next. Critical foundational items have already been completed – new brand identity, new marketing site, clarification of ICPs and more. You are taking over an inbound MQL process already up 40% yoy.

Your job is to continue this new trajectory of excellence, focusing on adding new layers of nurture campaigns, a new content marketing plan and strategy and more. We're a small and mighty team, so ideal applicants are ready to get the work done – this is not a "pure strategy" role.

This is a remote location, but we still aim to make digital collaboration easy. We have a strong preference for those in the Eastern Canada time zone, but it's ok if you're +/- 1 time zone away. We are only hiring for those based in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Own all marketing execution. End stop (but work closely with a dual role CMO/CEO).
  • Be performance marketing-first. Uunderstand that successful marketing begets bigger budgets.
  • Leverage the marketing site as the highest ROI marketing investment, including preference for high ROI content types (e.g. Glossary items) while supporting the customer journey
  • Build and grow the MQL funnel with a reasonable, achievable 2024 MQL quota
  • Maintain a monthly Marketing Performance Dashboard, making clear MQL performance by channel, thus enabling increased investment and growth
  • Own the marketing automation platform, rolling out new campaigns for nurture, new user onboarding and account renewals, further increasing MQL growth
  • Manage the automation of MQLs and contacts across the marketing site, CRM and nurture campaigns, supporting increased nurture and MQLs using Make.com
  • Leverage Email Sequence software, along with a marketing-built database of targeted companies, to drive awareness of our partner offerings with technology installers, thus enabling another MQL channel
  • Support a multi-region team (North America, Middle East, India)
  • In partnership with sales leadership, identify a consistent go-to-market model (ok, motion) across multiple industry verticals
  • Lead the execution of industry event participation across 6-8 events in 2024, across the North America and Middle East regions, including supporting pre-event account-based marketing
  • Build a pool of scalable resources, including graphic designers, Wordpress developers, choosing speed over perfection; open source platforms over custom development
  • Manage a direct report supporting target account data collection and aggregation

Basic Qualifications

  • Past experience in a SaaS operating environment
  • At least 2 years owning the marketing budget and justifying growth come annual budgets
  • Experience running SaaS marketing in a non-VC environment (i.e. one where unit economics need to work/be profitable)
  • Ability to self-build and operate a marketing automation campaign
  • Ability to self-build and maintain CMS/Wordpress marketing site platforms using Elementor
  • A clear understanding of how to understand customer pain points and platform benefits by listening to customer calls

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Past experience growing MQLs 50% over a 12-month period
  • Previous experience building a high performing marketing site from a common CMS using a pool of scalable resources and partners
  • Experience in Wordpress and Elementor is a plus
  • Experience in both Enterprise and SMB SaaS
  • Management of the full subscription lifecycle for a SaaS business

Salary Range for this role:

$91,000 - $108,000 CAD

Important: Compensation within this range will be based on overall experience and location.

Low end: moving into a Senior Marketing Manager role for the first time

High end: 1-3 years' experience as a Senior Marketing Manager

Note, this role is pathed to a Director, Marketing title in 9-18 months, pending successful completion of goals up to that point.
