What if you could personally impact the future of healthcare? As part of the PocketHealth team, you will enable hospitals and clinics across North America — and more importantly, empower over a million patients — to discover a better healthcare experience.

PocketHealth is a patient-centric platform that enables hospitals and clinics across North America to share imaging records digitally with patients, instantly and securely. Through our platform, we enable patients to be active and engaged participants in their own care, and take control of their care journey. In addition to image sharing, which is the heart of the PocketHealth platform, we've grown our core functionality to enable sharing between hospitals and physicians, as well as instant image retrieval and automated importing capability. PocketHealth is a unified image management solution for over 600 hospitals and clinics across North America. We believe that by placing patients at the center of the record release process, data moves more ethically, easily and securely throughout the care journey, and we're looking for passionate individuals to help make this vision a reality for millions more patients across North America.

As the Senior HR Manager, you will play a key role in driving our human resources initiatives and shaping our company culture as we scale. You will be responsible for both strategic planning and day-to-day operational aspects of HR. We're looking for a seasoned professional who can balance big-picture thinking with hands-on execution to ensure our team remains engaged, motivated, and empowered to deliver their best work. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is an excellent HR generalist but also likes to build.

Reporting to our Vice President, Operations, the Senior Human Resources Manager is responsible for collaborating on the strategy and leading the execution of all our people initiatives, including new employee onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and learning and development.

As Senior Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. HR Operations and Employee Relations
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including benefits administration and HRIS management (HiBob)
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters.
  • Advise leadership on compliance with all applicable employment law, human rights, and workplace standards
2. Performance Management
  • Own and drive our ongoing feedback and performance management process
  • Lead and drive our compensation strategy and process
  • Provide input into business unit headcount, growth planning, compensation talent management and succession planning
  • Find, assess and implement new technologies that improve operational effectiveness and efficiency
  • Build and deploy employee growth, learning and development programs
  • Lead and evolve our new hire orientation and onboarding program
  • Ensure we implement policies and training that improve our ability to offer a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace
About You
  • You have 5-7 years of generalist experience in Human Resources
  • You consider yourself eager, clever, ambitious and deeply curious about the newest ideas and trends
  • You consistently produce results on time
  • You are highly organized, detail- and deadline-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • You have a university degree
  • You are a systems thinker who understands how to create repeatable processes and playbooks
  • You thrive in a collaborative, team-first environment, understanding how to work cross-functionally and create alignment, and knowing how to lead from both the front and the back
  • You have a growth mindset and comfort level operating in fast-moving environments
  • You are familiar with HRIS programs
  • Nice-to-have: you are a Certified Human Resources Professional
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on healthcare accessibility and patient outcomes.
  • The ability to carve your own path in the HR function and pioneer initiatives you can own.
  • Fast-paced, collaborative work environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Remote-first workplace with competitive salary, stock and benefits package, and opportunities for professional development and growth.

You can do amazing things at PocketHealth. You can positively impact the healthcare journey for millions of people, while building your career and developing your skills. It doesn't have to be one or the other. It has been a part of our mission since our founding to empower patients & make healthcare accessible to all, and we know this can only be achieved with a team of diverse perspectives that is representative of the Patient & Provider communities we serve.

PocketPHolk love working here for these reasons and more; working remotely, our competitive salaries and benefits (stock options too!), four weeks of paid time off, unlimited wellness days, extended mental health coverage and beyond - it's important to us that our PocketPHolk are taken care of in the same way we take care of our Patients & Providers.
