NATIONAL OCCUPATION CODE 13110POSITION TYPE FULL-TIME The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will provide clerical support for various HR functions in a fast-paced work environment, including recruitment, onboarding, training, payroll, benefits, and other administrative functions.This position requires the Human Resources Administrative Assistant to be a reliable, communicative, and organized individual who can handle various administrative tasks in a dynamic and changing work environment.The incumbent will act in accordance with the Core Guiding and Service Principles of the Downtown Community Safety Partnership and will be a passionate and driven individual, valuing diversity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing administrative support for the day-to-day human resources functions.
  • Filing, documenting, and managing data in spreadsheets and reports (including but not limited to training, employment contracts, benefits, payroll and other human resources related functions).
  • Communicating with job candidates to coordinate telephone and in-person interviews.
  • Preparing documentation for interviews.
  • Assisting with onboarding/orientation and off boarding processes.
  • Updating information in payroll and benefits systems.
  • Updating company policies and Employee Handbook.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating of staff events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Administrative experience is required; experience in HR considered an asset.
  • Certificate in Human Resources preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, and knowledge/experience with SharePoint preferred.
  • Experience/adaptable to working in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Cooperative, flexible, and responsive to change.
  • Familiarity with payroll/benefits software is considered an asset.
