Responsibilities
• Developing or assisting in the development of design documents, requirements analysis, testing plans, test cases, use cases, process flows, procedures, and policies
• Identifying and facilitating any updates required to existing policies, guidelines, and processes that impact the use of changing technologies
• Validating and documenting current state and future state workflows and environments
• Supporting the development of briefing notes, decision requests, and business cases
• Performing other project activities as directed by the project manager as needed
• Supports planning and coordination of the project and its activities
• Develops positive relationships with business, clinical, technical, and project stakeholders to enable successful project and strategy delivery
• Assists in development of presentations and materials for executive level audiences
• Prepares materials and facilitates discussions and decisions at in meetings
• Develops and distributes meeting agenda and minutes
• Documents decisions, actions, and other meeting outcomes
• Supports governance decision process, tracking decision progress, responding to information queries, and escalating action as appropriate
• Evaluates business case and other project documentation, determining readiness for submission for funding submission
• Enterprise reporting using a variety of software from Microsoft's Office Suite, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and custom in-house tools
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst for large and complex technology and clinical projects for one of BC's Health Authorities (i.e., PHSA, VCH, PHC, VIHA, IHA, NHA, FHA).
• Demonstrable experience gathering and documenting clinical requirements.
• Demonstrable experience gathering and documenting business (non-clinical) requirements.
• Demonstrable experience gathering and documenting technical requirements.
• Exceptional ability to develop and maintain strong and professional working relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
• Working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and real-world best practices.
• Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Exceptional active listening skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time management.
• Exceptional ability to work across all project areas (e.g., technical and clinical) and identify upstream impacts, downstream impacts, dependencies, and overlapping activities.
• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to develop well considered, logical, and justifiable options.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Certified Business Analyst (CPC) designation (or equivalent).
• Experience as a Lead Business Analyst on an electronic Health Record project/initiative for one of BC's Health Authorities (i.e., PHSA, VCH, PHC, VIHA, IHA, NHA, FHA).
