As an Agricultural Equipment Technician, or Service Technician, you work independently to perform complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment. You work both in-field and in-shop requiring very little direction, as a Journeyperson, you share your knowledge by mentoring others.

9. Understand agriculture and the challenges facing growers.

Selection criteria for an interview:

• Completed a certified trade such as Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or similar.
• May consider 3rd or 4th level apprentice; John Deere certified a strong asset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing diagnostics and service repairs.
• Computer skills required, Service Advisor an asset.
• Physically capable to perform the job, with the ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
