We are proud to provide competitive wages, profit-sharing, and amazing benefits like flexible group medical and dental, fitness reimbursement, training and development, group RRSP matching, rental discounts, and more.Responsibilities:Ensure the health, comfort and safety of our CustomersAbility to perform tasks on all areas and aspects of renovation projectsCompetent in all aspects of carpentry such as framing, cabinetry, millwork, drywall, painting, tiling, flooring and ceilingsFit and Install cabinets, countertops, doors, windows, mouldings, hardware, flooring (LVP) Luxury Vinyl PlankFloor preparation by using leveling compounds and/or installing a new sub floorTile tub surrounds, kitchen and bathroom backsplashesRepair and construct partitions and stairsDrywall removal, repair and replacementPainting suites as neededAdvise and assist Maintenance Associates with repairs and maintenanceEnsure daily communication with the Leader and team membersEnsure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipmentEnsure proper and accurate inventory managementComplete all required administration for the position on a tabletComplete other tasks as assigned by the LeaderWork in compliance with Health and Safety regulationsWork as a team with other staff members to ensure goals are metExperience and Educational Requirements:Construction / carpentry background preferred with solid experience in drywall, residential plumbing, flooring, installing cabinetry and minor electricalFraming experience would be an assetExperience doing forms and concrete work an assetTechnical Requirements:Working knowledge of English both verbal and writtenFamiliarity with computer tablets is an assetNon-Technical Requirements:Strong commitment to providing excellent customer serviceDedicated to building better communities for all our Customers and surrounding communitiesAbility to take responsibility for all actions and decisions and to follow through until a resolution is obtainedExceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilitiesStrong planning and organizational skills coupled with ability to multi-task and prioritize (excellent time-management skills)Ability to work independently (self managed) and with other Associates in a team environmentAbility to learn quickly, adapt to change and be flexible in natureDisplays a high level of initiative and commitment to excellenceDemonstrates a positive attitude, enthusiasm and assertivenessEnsure have all tool on the tool list prior to end of probationary periodAbility to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, liftingAbility to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipmentInterested applicants are invited to submit a cover letter and resume.We would like to thank you in advance for your application, however, only those candidates who are being considered will be contacted.
