As the leader of our Ontario and Atlantic business development team at Desjardins Insurance, you will be responsible for our large group segment (over 50 employees). You will be expected to meet sales, persistency and profitability targets and drive performance excellence in best practices. Reporting to the Vice-President of Business Development, you will be a member of the Business Development Leadership Team, playing a key role in our Ontario and Atlantic growth strategy. You will inspire your team members to put the customer and partner first and live Desjardins's values. You will collaborate with Operations, Underwriting and Actuarial to ensure that the service offer meets client needs. Your past experience within group benefits business development, particularly in the large group sector of the market, would include strategic thinking, building strong relationships with partners (advisors and consultants) and managing successful sales teams. More specifically, you will be required to :
Support the immediate supervisor by helping with work organization, operational planning and special initiatives.
Develop, implement and track the unit's action plan, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic orientations and other administrative units, in a performance management context.
Establish management and communication practices that support change management, talent attraction and retention, skills development, employee engagement, and diversity in keeping with Desjardins values.
Define and ensure the implementation of activities related to the unit's services and ensure entrusted projects are carried through so as to maximize targeted business results and ensure member and client satisfaction.
Support the administrative unit's action plan by successfully managing individual and team performance.
Continuously improve the management of processes under your responsibility.
Work with multi-sector sales teams to drive cross selling opportunities.

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
A minimum of twelve years of relevant experience within group benefits, preferably business development
