Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia is currently searching for a Continuing Education Coordinator to join our team in Burnaby!The Continuing Education Coordinator is responsible for developing, marketing, and delivering our Continuing Education (CE) program and other initiatives within their program areas. Full details on our compensation and benefits value offering can be found below.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGAdministers and organizes the day-to-day operations of the CE program within specified program areasResponsible for conducting research and monitoring registrant needs to evaluate gaps in existing CE availableAdministers programs for registrants and follows up on registrant suggestionsResearches technical, communications and leadership, and ethical topics and sources and contracts subject matter experts; works with subject matter experts to develop course content and curriculum suitable for registrantsResponsible for the development, production and delivery of a minimum of 39 continuing education offerings per yearIdentifies sessions to be offered in-person, online, or blended delivery methodNegotiates, contracts and coordinates services for events, such as speaker, accommodation and transportation for speakers, conference and other facilities, catering, signage, displays, AV equipment and other vendorsDevelops and manages budgets; responsible for forecasting revenue, meeting revenue targets, and negotiating feesOrganizes the registration of participants including event registration management, confirmation of payment, confirmation emails and reminders, and monitoring enrollment capacityMarkets the CE program; establishes a communication schedule for broadcast emails, coordinates layout, design, and production of promotional materials, such as print publications, website advertisements and email campaignsResponsible for publishing materials in the Learning Management System (LMS) including development, review, and edits to webinar recordings as well as monitoring quality and analyzing survey resultsParticipates in the organization and delivery of the Annual ConferenceOther duties as assigned by managementWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLEThe successful applicant will possess the following:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Adult Education, or equivalent education and experience3-5 years of experience in a similar role in event planning, online learning, adult education, or project management3-5 years of experience in budget preparation and contract negotiationProficiency in core MS Office programs and working with databasesExperience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or online modulesExcellent communication skills, including effective listening and the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writingStrong attention to detail and organization skillsStrong relationship-building and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various internal and external stakeholdersWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOUEach member of our team contributes to public safety in BC and helps us deliver on our vision of "modern regulation for a resilient world." Placement within the hiring range will be based on candidate experience relative to the requirements of the role.
