So if you want to help us make it easy for Canadians to make smart financial decisions, read on…*You'll plan, organize, and maintain the operation of the finance and accounting department including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. * You'll develop and enforce well-maintained financial documents, policies, systems, and internal controls ensuring compliance with provincial and federal regulations. * You'll prepare and organize timely finance and accounting statements, summaries, reports, and other cost-benefit analyses, including year-to-date actuals, forecasts, and variance explanations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis * You'll collaborate with the Finance Manager and other members of the senior leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with and support the company's objectives. * You'll investigate and respond to all finance and accounting inquiries promptly and accurately. * You'll ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax planning and filing. * You'll work closely with external contractors, clients, and affiliate partners. * You'll maintain relationships with banking partners, external auditors, and additional stakeholders in the financial industry. * You'll support stretch projects and assist the team as needed. * You'll wear many different hats in a lean, agile, and fast-paced culture. *You have a minimum of 5 years experience working in a finance and accounting role within a tech startup, or fast-growing company environment, especially in Fintech and/or a B2C business. * You have a BA in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field – or relevant professional experience. * You have strong knowledge of federal and provincial laws, regulations, and ordinances pertaining to finance and accounting best practices. * You can think on your feet ‒ no problem is too big and no question is too difficult ‒ you know how to find the right answers, online and offline. * You have a strong command of financial planning and revenue technology tools including, but not limited to Quickbooks, data visualization tools, client dashboards, and more. * You're a tech wizard, live in the cloud, and can learn any software with ease. * You're a lifelong learner, a student for life. *Work from home anywhere in Canada with permanent remote full-time status. * Performance-based bonuses. * 100% paid premiums for health, dental, and vision insurance. * Ample vacation time and standardized public holidays across Canada. * Mobile phone allowance to help cover part of your monthly bill. * Regular team building fun including team games, lunches, happy hours, competitions with prizes, and more. * Job Type: Full-time
