Company Description Engcomp is an engineering and decision analysis services provider based in Saskatoon, SK. We specialize in serving Western Canada's heavy industrial sector and offer comprehensive engineering solutions for full project delivery. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Saskatoon, SK, with the flexibility for some remote work. Are you a recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for electrical engineering? As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to the design, testing, and implementation of electrical systems and components. This role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to a variety of projects across different industries. Assist in the development and refinement of electrical designs, schematics, and layouts under the guidance of senior engineers. Utilize CAD software and other tools to create and modify electrical drawings as needed. Testing and Analysis: Participate in testing activities to validate the functionality and performance of electrical systems and components. Collect and analyze data, identify trends, and assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise. Prepare technical documentation, including test reports, design documentation, and project updates. Maintain accurate records of project activities and collaborate with team members to ensure documentation is complete and up-to-date. Collaboration and Learning: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and project managers, to support project objectives and deliverables. Actively seek opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills through on-the-job training and professional development opportunities. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in all aspects of design and testing. Adhere to established quality assurance processes and procedures to maintain the integrity and reliability of electrical systems. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Strong academic background in electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, power systems, and electronics. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working in the consulting field, especially in the mining sector, and more specifically potash mining and/or uranium, would be considered an asset. Site experience and other heavy industrial exposure would also be an asset for this position.
