Through our proprietary technology, we offer small parcel delivery at heavily discounted rates, as well as air, land and sea freight and warehousing. We're looking for doers, go-getters and game changers, to join our rewarding culture. This is a full-time on-site role for a Freight Manager at DLVRD Logistics Inc. The Freight Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day freight operations, including customer service, ocean and freight import/export. Determine the most efficient and cost-effective method of transporting freight to ensure timely delivery. Select and contract the best freight carriers. Negotiate shipping and warehousing prices. Monitor freight costs and develop strategies to reduce costs. Complete the detailed paperwork that's required when shipping cargo through customs. Become an expert on our software platforms, both the CRM and Freight. Generate monthly performance statistics and report them accordingly. Communicate frequently with customers, distributors, suppliers, warehouse supervisors, production managers and trucking companies. Train, manage, coach, and develop direct reports plus support continuous learning to further develop direct reports. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Bachelor's degree in logistics or a closely related field, an asset. Proven track record of managing carrier relationships and negotiating rates. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools. Keen ability to assess situations, perform root cause analysis, and provide solutions. Effective time management – ability to manage self, time, and priorities.
