Company Description Engcomp is an engineering and decision analysis services provider based in Saskatoon, SK. We specialize in serving Western Canada's heavy industrial sector and offer comprehensive engineering solutions for full project delivery. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Saskatoon, SK, with the flexibility for some remote work. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers on various projects, assisting in structural analysis, design calculations, drafting, and project coordination. Lead the structural design and analysis of projects across various sectors, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements. Conduct detailed structural calculations and simulations using advanced software tools, reviewing and validating results to ensure accuracy. Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, and technical reports, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate structural designs into overall building plans and resolve design conflicts. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development activities, demonstrating technical expertise and effective communication skills. Perform site visits and inspections to assess structural conditions, provide construction support, and address field issues as they arise. Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in structural engineering technology, and changes in building codes and regulations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, standards, and best practices within the structural engineering department. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering; Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering consulting or related field. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, and Revit. Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to structural design and construction. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Leadership qualities with demonstrated experience in project management, client interaction, and team coordination. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. license or eligibility for licensure is preferred. Experience working in the consulting field, especially in the mining sector and, more specifically, potash mining, would be considered an asset. Site experience and heavy industrial exposure would also be an asset for this position.
