Afternoon shift) The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of all processing and packaging employees including maintenance and quality. The Operations Shift Supervisor will ensure that production schedules are completed on time, and within budget. Direct and supervise shift employees to ensure that the day-to-day production requirements are met Resolve all employee relations issues, complaints and health and safety concerns Enforce safety and sanitation policies throughout all departments Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods Increase worker efficiency and production rates Monitor and assess employee performance Ensure that all employees work in accordance with all Company policies and procedures and document and report immediately any violations to the Plant Manager Work in accordance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures and promote and maintain a safe work environment Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules and other records / reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs Track operations key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective action in case of any deviation Conduct training to improve employee performance and company culture Oversee field operations, including staffing, scheduling, developing materials management, setting and communicating objectives, ensuring quality standards are met, and resolving problems University degree in a business technical field. ~5 years experience as a production / operations supervisor ~ Production experience in the food industry is preferred ~ Direct working knowledge of plant operations ~ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint ~ First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets ~ Able to maintain filing systems, databases, and minutes management ~ Proven ability to motivate individuals and team to achieve high standards of productivity and quality ~ Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team ~ Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously in order to meet deadlines ~ Giraffe Foods Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
