Job Title: Site Superintendent

Location: Richmond, BC

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $110,000-140,000

Company Overview:

Our client is a premier construction firm specializing in industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. They are committed to delivering high-quality construction solutions and are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee a new build project in Richmond, BC.

Key Responsibilities:

-Oversee and manage all construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.

-Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors and staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency.

-Maintain continuous communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure smooth operation and timely problem resolution.

-Monitor project progress against the schedule, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.

-Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely availability and cost-effectiveness.

-Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

-Prepare and submit regular progress reports and budget updates to senior management.

-Resolve conflicts or disputes on site quickly and amicably.

-Foster a safe and inclusive workplace environment.

Qualifications:

-Proven experience as a Site Superintendent or in a similar role in the ICI sector, with a focus on new builds.

-Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations in British Columbia.

-Excellent leadership and human resources management skills.

-Proficient in MS Office and construction management software.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

-Certification in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.

-Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
