A leading Canadian General Contractor serving ICI and multi-residential construction is looking to add a Senior Estimator to the team. You will play a crucial role in the construction project lifecycle and be responsible for accurately estimating costs, analyzing project specifications, and ensuring competitive bids. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our projects and overall business growth. Project Estimation Manage estimates for new project opportunities from proposal through to award. Read and understand contract documents, specifications, and drawings for projects being tendered. Develop and review subcontractor scope of work. Accept, review, and analyze contractor quotes for the best value. Relationship Building Maintain good relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Consistently search for new trades to add to our network. Budgeting and Cost Control Present cost estimates and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Lead projects from inception to completion. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members. Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Contracts and other professionals. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for commercial construction projects. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and contracts. Familiarity with estimating software and tools.
