Our client is now in the market for an exceptional mid-level Corporate Associate to join their national team of experts. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a collegial team and hone your skills in a broad range of corporate transactions. The successful candidate will be working in the private equity space, servicing clients with novel investment structures, including search funds and fund formation. The work will also include mergers & acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and corporate governance. This is an excellent opportunity for long term career growth.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• 2 to 5 years (2022 - 2019 call) of post call experience working on variety of Canadian and/or cross-border corporate matters, with experience in the private equity space.
• Experienced in M&A, corporate reorganizations and corporate governance
• Experience with investment structures, including search funds and fund formation would be considered an asset.
• A breadth and depth of technical legal knowledge, excellent business judgment, and strong analytical and drafting skills
• Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, strong initiative, and the ability to work well on a variety of teams
• Excellent organizational, project management and the ability to handle multiple time sensitive priorities.
• A desire to do excellent work
• Excellent academic credentials
• Qualified to practice law in Canada
