We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a CAD Designer to join our team. The CAD Designer will work with multi-disciplined engineering, design, and project teams in developing design drawings utilizing AutoCAD and other related products. Create, edit, and modify AutoCAD drawings based on design provided by engineers Develop and read reinforced concrete and steel drawings as well as mechanical and shop drawings Foundation Layout Plans Concrete Foundation Detail Drawings Assist with design tasks including calculations, load rating, structural modeling and analyses, detailing, quantity and cost estimates with supervision from a senior engineer Understand & meet project schedule, and quality requirements with accuracy and efficiency Actively assist in the delivery of a complete project. This may include phone or e-mail correspondence, attending meetings, and other project documents required for project completion Provide interdepartmental support (Civil, Electrical, Substation, T&D, etc.) College Diploma (in Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology) or Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering 5 or more years of relevant AutoCAD design experience High proficient use of Autodesk AutoCAD Proficient use of Inventor or SolidWorks Ability to read and interpret drawings, construction, and civil plans Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete or steel plate Understanding of engineering principles and assembly, fabrication, and construction workflows Knowledge of project management software and computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint EOE, including disability/vets
