As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in medication management, providing excellent customer service, maintaining accurate inventory records, and offering clinical support to our patients. You will also be key in mentoring and training pharmacy students, assistants and newly hired technicians. Review prescriptions for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. • Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently, including billing and insurance claims. • Inventory Management: • Monitor inventory levels and order medications and supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels. • Receive, verify, and store incoming shipments of medications and supplies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. • Perform regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance with inventory control procedures. • Rotate stock and remove expired or damaged products from inventory according to established guidelines. Compile patient information and assist in the preparation of medication-related documentation, including patient profiles, drug utilization reviews, and medication reconciliation reports. • College graduate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program. • Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred. Proficiency in computer applications including Word, Excel spreadsheets, Kroll, Netcare, and other database programs. • Excellent phone etiquette, with the ability to speak clearly and professionally. • If you are a motivated pharmacist who shares our values and is eager to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care, we encourage you to apply.
