Who you are:
- You possess a minimum of three years of experience in loss prevention, health and safety, or a related field.
- You demonstrate innovative thinking and offer creative solutions.
- You hold a valid provincial security guard license and a level 2 occupational first aid certificate (including aed training). While completion of training in the wicklander-zulawski method and cpr is strongly recommended, it is not mandatory.
- Proficiency in access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems is within your skill set.
- Attention to detail, approachability, and a strong sense of responsibility are your hallmarks.
- You remain composed under pressure and exhibit the ability to respond swiftly and confidently during crises.
- Sensitive and confidential investigations are handled with the utmost professionalism and integrity.

- Keeping your team abreast of recent local health and safety laws, regulations, standards, and procedures, including fire and construction safety guidelines.
- Nurturing your team's growth through regular talent development discussions, continuous on-the-job training, and coaching.
- Facilitating communication, awareness, and training for all unit managers, team members, and collaborators.
- Identifying and mitigating health, safety, and security risks using the risk management process (e.g., root cause analysis, identifying emerging risks, understanding influencing factors, and implementing mitigation plans).
- Cultivating robust internal and external relationships nationwide, understanding their needs and securing their support for your initiatives and programs.
- Continuously striving to enhance processes and existing procedures in alignment with business objectives and global risk management strategies.
- Ensuring the proper maintenance of all security systems and equipment.
- Ensuring prompt escalation and handling of all incidents through the incident reporting system (irs).
- Maintaining an efficient process for reporting and processing insurance claims.
