Geotechnical Engineering Support: Collaborate closely with the Geotechnical Engineer-of-Record (EOR) to maintain the safe construction and management of the tailings facility in accordance with the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) Dam Safety Directive and the client's governance systems. Prepare and provide Mine Operations with professional recommendations to address construction-related, operational, or regulatory concerns, ensuring a proactive and solutions-oriented approach. Prepare regulatory reports and documentation under the oversight of the Engineer-of-Record. Performance Objective Oversight: Ensure compliance with critical performance objectives during construction, operation, and closure activities of the tailings facility. Conduct review and evaluation of geotechnical performance, including analysis of incoming data from field instrumentation and visual inspections. Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with Design Engineers, Resident Geotechnical Engineers, Engineers-of-Record, Mine and Tailings Planners, Mine Operations, and Field Services to optimize tailings facility operations Routine Site Investigations: ~ Facilitate and support routine site investigations, including drilling and instrumentation installation, to gather essential data for informed decision-making.
