Engineering Manager The Engineering Manager will drive the direction of IBC's product development, R&D, cost reduction, documentation, manufacturing improvement and quality activities. Reporting to: Sr Director, Engineering Drive the engineering team's mechanical product engineering, R&D, cost reduction and documentation activities. Oversee and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of NPI projects. Provide mentorship and leadership to product engineers, CAD developer, technical writers, manufacturing engineer and quality specialist. Support the planning and budgeting of the Engineering Department. Strategically drive manufacturing process and quality improvement projects. Collaborate with Sr Director, Engineering to support key performance indicators across the Engineering Department. Provide both day-to-day and strategic leadership to the manufacturing engineering and production quality functions as needed. Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Work Experience: ~8+ years of work experience in mechanical product design. ~ Prior experience leading projects and managing project budgets required. ~ Prior experience leading a team, either from a technical lead or managerial capacity required. ~ Prior experience in leading manufacturing process changes and quality improvement considered an asset. Demonstrated leadership qualities. Expert knowledge of Solidworks. Practical in-depth knowledge of mechanical design. Expert and practical knowledge of lean manufacturing principles considered an asset.
