We've built a great team over the past few years, and are at a stage where we're assembling a solid Human Resources Department. Because of this, we are looking for an exceptional HR Manager who has a unique skill set for strategic planning prowess, a love for process design, and extraordinary people skills. Building engagement is your power skill, and you have the results to prove it You have a track record of successful workforce planning and recruitment strategies You want to see others succeed and enjoy helping people grow to their full potential You are digitally savvy with HR systems You are detail-oriented with solid business acumen and budgeting know-how virtual team gatherings are the highlight of your day You consider yourself an agile manager, and continuous growth is more important to you than pure perfection Managing employee relations and engaging with the management team on important topics Creating an internal employee communication strategy for company news and updates Conducting an annual employee engagement survey Managing and communicating the employee benefits programs, such as group health plans, RRSP matching, and facilitating enrollment Identifying and assessing training needs and developing workshops, online courses, and on-the-job training programs Identifying skill-building opportunities and creating individualized development plans and career paths to support employee growth Implementing performance management systems and designing evaluation criteria to link compensation to performance, ensuring fairness, transparency, and alignment with organizational objectives Training managers and employees on constructive and developmental feedback, promoting a high-performance culture of continuous improvement Fostering an inclusive environment and ensuring an attractive, accessible brand Conducting a workforce planning strategy to meet staffing needs and coordinating recruitment efforts with department leaders Overseeing an internal recruitment team of two, and liaising with external agencies as needed Managing the HR budget and forecasting for hiring, salaries, benefits, talent management, training, succession planning, workforce engagement, and employee wellness planning Establishing and communicating relevant policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with provincial laws and regulations Sourcing HRIS systems and leading the implementation and training for employees 3-5 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources leadership role ~ A Bachelor's degree in Business; Human Resource Management concentration is a plus ~ Demonstrated experience and success with full-cycle recruitment ~ Up-to-date on modern HR practices, management philosophies, techniques, and tools ~ Tech savvy with hands-on experience using Human Resources Information System (HRIS)~ Proven track record of setting and maintaining high company standards in a creative, innovative, flexible environment Experience collaborating with employees and contractors across North America Experience in payroll, compensation, and benefits administration Opportunity to truly build the HR world at Breakthrough Academy, with a dynamic team of contributors Create a massive impact in an organization with an already strong foundation Enjoy the flexibility of working within a team that embraces remote work opportunities
