The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity in our Finance department for a Senior FP&A Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Category Marketing team on forecasting, cost tracking and financial modeling, as well as providing insight and analysis around financial performance. You will work with various stakeholders across the business to identify actions, perform sensitivity/scenario analysis, review P&L performance and determine opportunity and risk. Your ability to understand the big picture, while also focusing on the details and continually looking for ways to improve processes, will be critical to success.

What you get to do:

  • Providing insight & analysis on key drivers of financial performance to Category Marketing team.
  • Reporting, budgeting & forecasting for the Category P&L, ensuring timelines are met.
  • Ongoing support to Business Development opportunities, participating in key decisions with sensitivities/scenario analysis.
  • Analysis on key business projects, such as cost inflation, pricing, SKU optimization, capital projects, innovations and business propositions.
  • Financial tool development for performance assessment and cash flow analysis.
  • Perform product profitability analysis for changes to existing products & make recommendations.
  • Oversight of the Marketing Spend P&L line, ensuring accurate reporting and financial control.
  • Contribute towards continued transition of manual reporting to Power BI, educating stakeholders and providing an environment for them to self-serve.
  • Provide informal coaching/guidance to FP&A Analyst to aid their development.
  • Provide assistance and support to the costing analyst for new sales opportunities.

What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Tier-one company (preferably consumer goods) working closely with financial and non-financial stakeholders to deliver results.
  • Completed, or is pursuing, a financial designation.
  • Previous experience providing support to customer/category team.
  • Excellent modelling skills in Excel, including cash flow modelling.
  • Able to manipulate large amounts of data & build efficient process to streamline reporting.
  • Previous hands-on experience with ERP & reporting systems to best utilize information is an asset (Power BI preferred).
  • Excellent Communication and presentation skills, with ability to communicate and convey financial and business impact(s) to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong Analytical skills with ability to turn data into actionable information, able to provide new ideas and challenge current thinking.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and work in an environment with changing priorities.
  • Project costing experience is an asset.
