The Electrical Designer will be responsible for determining project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, performance standards, coordinating activities with project managers, completing technical specification reviews, supporting cost estimates, and preparation of bills of materials. Wage based upon level of expertise.
Role and Responsibilities

· Obtain all required project documents
· Maintain project deadlines
· Use all relevant documentation to ensure a smooth project
· Document and communicate any issues with a project – design, concept, timing
· Hardware design
· Programming
· Startup & commissioning
· Service support
· Production support
· Sales support
· Guide junior designers
· Guide Co-ops
· Schedule resources as required
· Schedule ESA inspections
· BOM- Design & Maintenance
· Cable calculations
· Integrate & Communicate with Mechanical designers to ensure cohesive designs
· Maintenance and upgrading of design software
· Research and implementation of new hardware
· Project management skills
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Minimum 2 to 3-year College Diploma technician/technologist and/or University Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
· Proficient in AutoCAD software, Electrical CAD and Eplan software an asset
· Mechanical schematic interpretation, Mechanical theory, and application required.
· Works with minimum supervision.
· Fast learner.
· Accurate documentation generation.
· Attention to detail is mandatory.
