We are looking for someone to manage an import department that is highly involved in the sourcing and purchase of raw materials from China for production in China and other countries. From the time fabric is purchased in China to following up production schedules. The candidate will manage a department of 8 import staff and will report to the VP of the company. The candidate is required to have the experience to understand specific aspects of production and sourcing. Knowledge of various industry-accepted testing requirements as well as various retailer requirements. ~ Momentis ERP knowledge is an asset ~ Wholesaler experience is an asset Take responsibility and Evaluate the quality of work of the department staff members. Represent the production staff in interdepartmental meetings with Sales QC and Logistics Follow up with production meetings weekly to address problem cases Make decisions on production schedules & discounts with overseas suppliers.
