Instrumentation and Control Engineer Full Time Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Vista Projects is an integrated industrial engineering firm that helps clients navigate the digital transformation of their projects and operations. The Senior I&C Engineer participates in the design of different aspects of energy industry projects from inception to completion. Developing and engineering instrumentation and control system designs to supportthe process design for a project, and to support or proposal consisting of a normal process unit Providing comprehensive engineering and design services by establishing design criteria and preparing specifications, design computations, drawings, models and bills of material in accordance with basic project requirements Participating in the design of component parts and individual units Exercising cost/budget control, and reviewing and monitoring designs for conformance with control estimates and project specifications Reviewing and maintaining project schedules, and tracking engineering tasks and deliverables in conjunction with project management Supervising the various activities involved in the design of a project consisting of several complex process units Performing detailed engineering calculations Providing technical guidance to junior staff Maintaining current knowledge of industry and regulatory standards Reviewing vendor or subcontractor quotations, drawings, and specifications for technical adequacy and conformance with project requirements Applying advanced engineering techniques and analyses to complex engineering tasks Adhering to Vista Quality Management System (QMS) Assigning and outlining work for others, and reviewing work for technical accuracy and adequacy Authenticating documentation with a professional engineering stamp as required Preparing material requisitions and technical bid evaluations for field instruments and control systems Designing instrument junction boxes and control system (i.e.PLC/DCS/SIS) panels Preparing control narratives and providing input to controlphilosophies Preparing engineering and constructionwork packages Providing technical support to vendors for DCS/SIS/FG panels design and fabrication, and mechanical/electrical equipment Eight (8) or more years of progressive experience in energy industryfacilities engineering and design in the energy industry Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in engineering or applied science Ability to work and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team including Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural & Architectural, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls and Piping Engineers and Designers as well as Project Management and Procurement personnel Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Strong organizational skills, technical competence and attention to detail Ability to meet safety requirements in order to attend site visits Ten (10) years or more of experience as a fully qualified engineer, with five or more years of experience in the energy industry.
