Cook/Prep Cook As a Prep Cook at The Piping Kettle, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Cook with all of their kitchen duties and supporting the Souper Staff as needed during lunch and dinner rushes. As Cook at The Piping Kettle, you will be responsible for working 2-3 morning cook shifts, and 2-3 afternoon shifts. Duties Include: · Stock and prepare veggies, sauces and meats for sandwich stations. · Maintain a clean kitchen environment. · Follow food safe procedures. · Work fast paced lunch and dinner rushes. · Serve soups and salads; preparing sandwiches, salads and smoothies. · Put orders away. · Assist the cook with their duties, as required. Requirements · Food Handlers Certificate · Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. · Knife Skills · Ability to work as part of a team and under the direction of the head cook / supervisor. · Continuous standing/walking for all tasks Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs Frequent turning and reaching Occasional pushing, pulling and some forward bending.
