In your role, you will:- Title: Manager Engineering, Materials and Processes
- Provide Engineering leadership to all team members and manage and deploy new projects/initiatives to accomplish the Program requirements.
- Ensure effective leadership and business strategy for the deliverables by closely working with other engineering departments, Supply chain, Operations, internal and external customers, and Structural and Completions partners/Suppliers.
- Establish strategy, governance, and tactical plans for a team of M&P engineers specializing in metallics, non-metallics, chemical processes, and interior completions.
- Manage and coordinate, as a centralized function, activities with other M&P site leaders and Program focals to provide support and negotiate priorities.
- Apply Bombardier Operational Excellence (BOE) and other methodologies to implement and improve business processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and meet strategic goals.
- Work closely with the leaders and employees to continuously develop skills of team members through coaching, training, and development.
- Manage the performance and development activities to build and sustain an environment that supports cooperation, employee engagement, and trust.
- Manage manpower planning activities and budget preparation.
- You hold a Bachelor or Master's degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
- You have over 10 years of experience in Aircraft Engineering Leadership.
- You have experience and a proven track record in Materials and Processes, M&P standards/specifications, aircraft product knowledge, and operations/manufacturing processes.
- You demonstrate the ability to manage large teams and projects.
- You demonstrate the ability to make decisions and recommendations on complex issues autonomously and set priorities on a mid to long-term basis.
- You have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- You can work on many priorities at the same time and under pressure.
- You have excellent communication skills.
- You must be able to work in a team environment and interact with Senior Management and other operations support functions (Ex. Operations, Quality, Methods, and Procurement).
