We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Business Applications manager, reporting directly to the Director of Business Applications. In this role, you will oversee a team of 11 professionals, including ERP Support Analysts and Master Data Governance Specialists. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of SAP solutions throughout business units, demonstrate good leadership skills, and have a passion for driving continuous improvement in operational support. This person will be a key player in overseeing prioritization and incident escalations with our third-party Application management support (AMS).

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts in operational excellence for the ERP operation by aligning the team with the department's goals and objectives.
  • Lead the team by providing mentorship, continuous feedback and guidance to employees on their performance and growth while prioritizing training and development opportunities for your team.
  • Being a coach by providing SAP functional guidance and training to support staff.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of individuals and teams based on our SLO agreed with the organization.
  • Manage queues and requests for his teams while coordinating efforts and following up on progress with your AMS counterpart.
  • Enforce compliance based on our IT governance framework to meet our internal and external audit requirements.
  • Ensure our functional documentation and master data standards & business rules stay accurate and up-to-date.

Skills

Leadership and Management Skills:

  • Proficient in leading teams, showcasing strong organizational abilities, and adeptly setting and monitoring team goals and performance metrics.

Technical Proficiency:

  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems like SAP on configuration, development and processes.

Operational Excellence:

  • Proven track record in driving operational excellence within a team.
  • Ability to optimize processes, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency.

Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:

  • Skilled in analyzing complex issues and making informed decisions on resolutions and prioritization.

Compliance and Governance:

  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks. E.g. ITIL, COBIT, NIST.
  • Ability to enforce compliance with established standards and policies.

Employee Development

  • Document development plans for team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Offer mentorship and training to support staff.

Communication and Relationship Building:

  • Excellent communication skills to foster trust and collaboration.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to address concerns and promote team member development.

Accountability:

  • Take ownership of annual goals established for the team or department.
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to overall organizational success

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Business Administration, IT or another pertinent field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
