NewLife Options Inc. is looking for a qualified detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our Accounting team in Brandon, MB. If you have a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and best payroll practices, experience with payroll and benefits and are dedicated to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Process the bi-weekly payroll in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain payroll records and files, ensuring compliance of all employee payroll documents.
- Acting as the primary Group Benefits Administrator.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail, minimizing errors in financial records.
- Comprehend and apply Employment Standards as they relate to payroll.
- Prepare T4?s & Records of Employment (ROEs)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years? experience in payroll processing.
- Minimum 1 year experience managing a group benefits program.
- Business Administration Diploma.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation is an asset.
- Proficient in using payroll software systems such as Quickbooks and Payworks (not a requirement, but an asset).
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Capable of multi-tasking with high level of attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel).
Other Information:
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with a half hour lunch break
Work location: Brandon, MB (in office)
Other: Full-time permanent position
Starting salary is between $48,000 and $56,000
