AdvertSLR is looking for an Environmental Project ManagerAdvertSLR is looking for an Environmental Project Manager to join our dynamic and experienced team of contaminated sites specialists in BC. An opportunity for innovative, cutting-edge work in a close-knit, collaborative, and engaged "One Team" environmentWorking within SLR's Land Quality and Remediation team under the guidance of Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals and other senior contaminated sites experts on a variety of interesting and complex sites across BCBased in Victoria, BC, with flexible work options availableWe are SLR Consulting (Canada), a 550+ team of advisory, environmental/engineering, and regulatory professionals across 18 office locations in Canada. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of advisory and over 30 technical environmental and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability, we are Making Sustainability Happen.You will work closely with a group of amazing young professionals in the contaminated sites assessment and remediation industry to design, implement, and deliver a wide range of projects for a diverse client base across BC in the Power, Energy, Infrastructure, Mining, Industrial, and Built Environment sectors. These projects will include a range of responsibilities from managing interdisciplinary projects to authoring technical summary reports, designing work programs, preparing competitive proposals for new work, and mentoring staff.Management of contaminated sites projects such as site investigations, monitoring and sampling programs, and remediation programs, to ensure successful project delivery with respect to health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfactionCoordination and supervision of field staff and subcontractorsEngagement of experienced senior team members, including Project Directors, Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals, and technical specialists to develop work plans and execute projectsAnalysis and interpretation of environmental data and preparation of technical reports for senior review and submission to clients and regulatorsLiaison and relationship building with clients and other project stakeholders to ensure excellent service deliveryProvision of technical leadership through mentoring of staff during project delivery and for other aspects such as Health and Safety, training, team building and other, as requiredCollaboration with multidisciplinary teams to integrate findings and interpretations with various scientific, planning, and engineering disciplinesActioning difficult project challenges with curiosity and positivityFull-time, permanent role with flexible scheduling available5+ years of experience in the environmental consulting industryStrong technical background in environmental site assessment and remediation, waste discharge permitting and compliance, and/or construction environmental management.
