AFIMAC Canada is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator/Human Resource assistant for an upcoming permanent assignment in Southwestern Ontario.
You will earn between $55,000-$65,000 annually.
Job Responsibilities:- Process and manage the full cycle bi-weekly payroll
- Act as primary payroll contact for all employees and Service Canada/government bodies
- Utilize HRIS and payroll software to maintain accurate records and streamline processes
- Process month-end duties, including accruals or reversals for vacation and WSIB, employee counts, KPIs, and other reports, as needed
- Assist/conduct new employee orientation and onboarding
- Produce, manage and file confidential materials
- Assist in the resolution of employee relations issues by working closely with other HR team members
- Utilize HRIS and payroll software to maintain accurate records and streamline processes
- Complete WSIB monthly premium reporting, year-end audit requirements and process T4 information
- Act as primary payroll contact for all employees and Service Canada/government bodies
- Support HR initiatives and projects as assigned
- Ensure organizations compliance with payroll regulations and labour laws
- Assist with employee benefit program
- Generate and analyze HR and payroll reports for management review
- Prepare and submit required government reports and findings
- Assist with full cycle recruitment
- Takes direction comfortably, able to multi-task, managing time efficiently to obtain optimum results
- Support with various team and individual employee recognition initiatives, committees, where needed
- Support the Health & Safety committee and initiatives, where needed
- Other duties, as assigned
Minimum 2 years experience in a Human Resources Payroll Coordinator role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
ADP workforce now experience
Familiarity with Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
Strong Computer Skills (MS Work, Excel and PowerPoint)
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a confidential manner
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with a face-paced environment
Self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision
Excellent sense of urgency, work ethic and attendance record
High proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
