Organizational Description: As a peer support mental health organization, Peer Connections Manitoba is dedicated to the improvement of quality of life for those living with mental health challenges through education & peer support. We offer a number of services in Winnipeg and around the province. Many of our programs are run by people with lived experience or family members who can relate on a personal level to the experiences.

Description of Duties:
1. Greeting individuals as they enter library space
2. Performing basic office tasks; data entry, answering phone & emails
3. Registering individuals for memberships (in-person, through email and over phone)
4. Support workshops (Zoom & in-person)
5. Adding NEW books and organizing current selection
6. Resource referrals for mental health services
7. Creating content for social media accounts
8. Other duties assigned by the MHERC Manager (Sarah)
Skills Required:
1. Must be very comfortable using computer, Zoom and able to trouble shoot independently
2. Ability to work in a collaborative environment
3. Passionate about mental health and have personal experience (yourself or supporting someone else)
4. Ability to take direction/feedback and work independently
5. Pays attention to detail and can multitask
6. Commitment to weekly shift (Commitment of 1 year)
7. PHIA Training is required (and will be provided)
8. Criminal Record Check & Abuse Registry Checks within the last 6 months

Shifts are 3 hours long and include the following:
9:30am - 12:30pm & 12:30pm - 3:30pm
Currently filling both above shifts (4 positions available) for Mondays and Fridays.
