Maintenance Attendant Prestige Kamloops Hotel & Prestige Aberdeen Lodge Kamloops Do you have previous experience as a Plumber, Carpenter, Electrician, or any other trades training? Prestige Kamloops Hotel and the Prestige Aberdeen Lodge Kamloops are hiring a Maintenance Attendant to maintain and fix amenities of guest rooms and common spaces of both hotel properties. The Prestige Aberdeen Lodge Kamloops is a new addition to the Prestige Hotels & Resorts family! This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a flexible schedule dependent on abilities. Duties: Maintain and improve upon hotel guest rooms and additional public areas by performing routine maintenance jobs and repairs Troubleshoot and resolve pool and hot tub mechanical issues Perform hotel room repair activities. (i.e., handrails, walls, doors, flooring.) Perform heavy lifting (i.e., move heavy furniture, remove scrap and debris) Perform painting, snow removal, and light landscaping Maintain positive communication with the hotel General Manager to ensure that tasks are completed Ensure friendly professional interactions with hotel guests Additional duties as assigned Qualifications: ~ Prior maintenance or trades experience ~2 years experience in a maintenance role considered an asset ~ A background in electrical and/or plumbing is an asset ~ Must be able to lift medium to heavy loads weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb)~ Previous painting experience ~ BC Driver's license and reliable transportation ~ Must be legally entitled to work in Canada Compensation: Wage based on ability and experience (starting at $22 – 25 per hour) Prestige Benefits Package Retirement savings contributions upon enrollment Restaurant and Hotel discounts Flexible hours Next Steps: To complete the application process, fill out our online application form using the "Application" button below.
