The Opportunity – Manager/Senior Manager Software Development (hybrid or remote available)
We are seeking a Manager / Senior Manager to lead an elite team of developers in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and managing innovative and sophisticated software solutions. This role is central to our purpose and north star, requiring a balance of technical proficiency and leadership to push boundaries in enterprise technology using .NET, Angular, and Flutter.
Main Duties
•Lead a top-tier software development team, driving projects from conception to release with precision and innovative thinking.
•Implement and oversee robust development and maintenance protocols using Microsoft tools and frameworks.
•Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, UX/UI Design, Data Science, QA, and Security teams to deliver products that align with our high standards of functionality and security.
•Enhance product capabilities and performance through the strategic integration of Microsoft technologies, including the utilization of App Insights for analytics and performance monitoring.
•Manage the entire development lifecycle with a focus on Agile practices and the adoption of CI/CD methodologies, including the use of Terraform for infrastructure management.
What We Are Looking For
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
•Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software development, including mobile native (iOS and Android) applications.
•Proven leadership experience in software development within a big tech environment.
•Strong expertise in .NET, Angular, and Flutter, with a solid understanding of Microsoft development environments.
•Proficient in modern CI/CD tools, specifically Terraform, and familiar with Agile project management.
•Extensive experience with Microsoft App Insights and enterprise-level maintenance tasks.
•Exceptional teamwork and communication abilities, with a track record of effective cross-departmental collaboration
•Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•Practical knowledge in deploying mobile applications on iOS and Android, and web applications.
•Experience leveraging generative AI technologies in commercial projects.
Our Head Office is in Calgary, and we offer a hybrid-flex work arrangement. Alternatively, this position is eligible for fully-remote within any region in Canada.
