As a Senior Project Scheduler, you will lead the development and analysis of complex construction projects using Primavera software, while also implementing earned value management techniques. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring that project schedules are precise, feasible, and aligned with project objectives. Your expertise will be key in facilitating effective project planning, monitoring progress, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 software, incorporating all project phases, activities, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, constraints, and objectives, translating them into achievable schedules.
  • Conduct detailed schedule analysis, identifying critical paths, potential risks, and opportunities for schedule optimization.
  • Implement earned value management (EVM) techniques to monitor project performance, assess earned value against planned value, and analyze cost and schedule variances.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports on project schedules, highlighting key milestones, delays, and potential impacts to project timelines.
  • Work closely with the project team to develop mitigation strategies for schedule risks, such as resource constraints, scope changes, or external factors.
  • Support project managers in developing baseline schedules, baseline revisions, and schedule recovery plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure schedule alignment with project goals, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong team player with a growth mindset and a passion for what you do!
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or certification in project management is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Project Scheduler or similar role, specializing in construction projects and using Primavera P6 software.
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 for schedule development, maintenance, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) principles and techniques, including cost performance index (CPI) and schedule performance index (SPI).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering accurate and reliable project schedules.
  • Existing Government of Canada Secret security clearance.
