Seeking an Automation Technician in the Mississauga area

Overview of expectations:
Maintaining systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts. PLC hands-on experience is a must. This position is also responsible to meet and exceed department and company objectives.

Responsibilities
  1. Installs, configures, integrates, and upkeeps process automation systems and associated information networks. This includes setting up and supporting network devices such as PLCs, I/O networks, and HMIs.
  2. Conducts diagnostics on control and network hardware issues, executing necessary maintenance and repairs.
  3. Coordinates equipment warranty repairs with users and external service technicians.
  4. Performs component replacements and equipment changes as needed to ensure the efficient completion of preventive maintenance tasks.
  5. Designs, develops, and writes programs for new automation and enhancements to existing PLC's, computers, configurations, and applications
Qualifications

A degree/diploma in Mechanical Technology, Electromechanical or Similar.
1-3 years experience working with automation
