ML6 is partnering with a leading consumer goods organization in their search for a Corporate Accounting Manager. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the corporate accounting team to deliver the timely and accurate reporting of all financial accounting across the company, including managing the month-end close process.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage the Corporate Accounting team in its day-to-day activities and deliverables.
- Manage the month-end close cycle, including calendar preparation, distribution, and management.
- Act as the global coordinator of the Finance NI-52-109 requirements, liaising with site coordinators and creating an effective network that delivers consistent successful results for testing.
- Develop and maintain an effective balance sheet review process for the finance organization. In particular, focus on maintaining the account reconciliation matrix that defines risk levels, frequency and timing for completion and balances assigned by site across Finance.
- Review account reconciliations assigned to the corporate accounting team on a timely basis and resolve unusual reconciling items timely.
- Manage the chart of accounts, working closely with the Manager, SAP financial Systems to ensure the chart of accounts remains current with the operating activities and requirements of the company.
- Liaise with external auditors as required to complete statutory audits.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- University degree in Business Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
- Minimum 7 years relevant accounting and business experience, including experience managing a team.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced SAP knowledge and systems ability.
- Excellent professional communication and organizational skills.
- Able to understand details that matter and have strong problem-solving abilities.
- Good interpersonal skills to deal with a variety of people across the organization and at multiple levels.
