Worley Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Intermediate Environmental Scientist/Engineer/Technologist to join our dynamic team based in Cold Lake Alberta. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessment and remediation of contaminated sites in Alberta.

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
  1. Prepare, follow, and promote site-specific health, safety, and sustainability plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to you, our people and clients and the public.
  2. Lead and coordinate daily field activities and programs.
  3. Provide mentorship, coaching and training to new hires and team members.
  4. Completion of Phase 1 and 2 environmental site assessments.
  5. Lead groundwater and surface water monitoring programs.
  6. Lead drilling, borehole logging and monitoring well installations.
  7. Lead remedial excavation programs.
  8. Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project execution.
  9. Assist project team in the communication, management and cost control associated with various programs.
  10. Prepare technical reports.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Technical Diploma or University Degree from accredited institution, plus appropriate continuing education;
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team setting;
  • 3+ years of practical experience;
  • Class 5 driver's licence;
  • Experience in either the oil and gas industry or mining is considered an asset;
