Job Description

Reporting directly to the General Manager of Operations, the Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the production activities of his/her team, and ensuring their effectiveness and efficiency.

What you'll do:

Train, develop, coach and support supervisors and their production teams;
Ensure sound OHS and HR management within your teams;
Ensure the smooth running of operations and monitor the execution of their activities;
Ensure compliance, upkeep and maintenance routines;
Ensure equipment logistics and material movement;
Participate actively in production management and inventory control;
Manage schedules, absences and vacations, and conduct supervisor performance appraisals;
Ensure process improvement in collaboration with the engineering team;
Ensure cost reduction and provide reliable production reports in collaboration with finance equipment;
Participate, with general management, in setting strategies and priorities, and ensure their execution by monitoring performance indicators;
Participate in the annual budget forecasting exercise;
Collaborate and maintain good relations with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

Experience in managing multiple production teams;
Minimum 5 years' experience in an industrial environment (ferrous and non-ferrous metals an asset);
Bachelor's degree in engineering (an asset), any other combination of experience and education may be considered;
Bilingual (English/French); basic French and English.

Additional Information

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week;
