Overall Position Mandate

In this role, the successful candidate will oversee all financial and accounting activities. This person will be responsible for the budget management, financial reporting, payroll as well as overseeing a team in accounts payable and receivable. In the Administration role, key areas within the department will be administered in conjunction with senior management, including policy & procedures.

The Accounting/Administration Manager will report directly to the President. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy, entrepreneurial environment and who works well with senior management. Possibility of a hybrid work model.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will oversee both financial and administration functions. Your responsibilities will include:

Finance:

  • Prepare and report such as monthly financial statements in compliance with company

requirements & (GAAP).

  • Effectively manage and communicate cash flow-related issues to management and ownership.
  • Coordinate the completion of all forecasts and budgets, actively engaging with the Executive Team

and department managers.

  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable & Receivable processes as well as invoicing (Customer

billings).

  • Conduct regular financial analysis & communicate financial metrics to the President and other ad-

hoc reports as required.

  • Responsible for internal & external (Government) audits.

Administration:

  • Preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll, benefits enrollments & worker's compensation

for both for Canada & US employees.

  • Manage the companies RRSP (FTQ) program and monthly remittances.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A college degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, or equivalent

experience in a related discipline.

  • Experience: 10-15 years of progressive experience in both finance and administration roles.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management

reporting. Familiarity with company accounting systems (Accpac an asset).

  • Comprehensive knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and employment laws.

Experience in HR functions such as employee relations, training, and benefits administration.

  • Proven leadership and managerial capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial and needs to interact with various

stakeholders, from department heads to external partners.

  • Awareness of and adherence to regulatory requirements, labor laws, and industry standards

related to both finance and human resources.

  • Proficient in excel & word software's and (Accpac an asset)
  • Being able to work with complete discretion and confidentiality.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary based on experience (Range: $100,000 to $120,000)
Benefits, including medical, dental & LTD (50% paid by employer)
Perfectly bilingual spoken & written (French & English)
