Headquartered in Montreal, we have offices in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.As a Senior Analyst, Business Initiative & Analysis, you will contribute to the overall success of the Private Wealth Department ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in-compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.Work with multiple stakeholders across JFL and Scotiabank to gather relevant data, perform financial analysis, structure, and create financial models to assess future state financial benefits / costs.Manage multiple project streams including planning and scheduling resources, developing detailed project plans, monitoring progress against planned objectives, financial review, and securing consensus and cooperation from stakeholders and senior management.Synthesize findings and present clear recommendations and implementation plans to ensure impactful project outcomes.Create and maintain management reporting dashboards, assemble execute presentation materials, analyse large data sets, and conduct industry and competitor researchUnderstand how the firm's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with JFL's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.Champion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Math, Engineering, Economics or Science2 - 3 years of work experience within financial services (including Wealth Management front office/head-office support roles), Corporate Finance, Management Consulting, and/or other fields with a demonstrated capacity to define, plan, implement and manage business initiativesExcellent knowledge with MS Office including experience in analyzing complex data/financial modelling in Excel and developing PowerPoint presentationsInitiative, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to support strategicProven record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activitiesThe ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of workExcellent documentation and writing skillsGuided by our purpose: "for every future", we help our customers, their families and their communities achieve success through a broad range of advice, products and services, including personal and commercial banking, wealth management and private banking, corporate and investment banking, and capital markets.If you require accommodation (including, but not limited to, an accessible interview site, alternate format documents, ASL Interpreter, or Assistive Technology) during the recruitment and selection process, please let our Recruitment team know.
