Neelands Group Limited is searching for a Commercial 308A HVAC Installer to join our HVAC Construction team at our Burlington, Ontario, location. This is a regular, full-time union position with a complete union compensation package.
Responsibilities:
- Proficient ability to install rooftop unit's curbs, gas piping (high/ low pressure, welded), exhaust fans, kitchen hoods, grease ducts, welding ducts, install ductless split units, radiant heaters, Make Up Air Units, and respective supportive frameworks.
- Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal distribution systems.
- Measure, mark dimensions, lay out the material to be installed, and select the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal for projects according to specifications.
- Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with TDC, Cleats, bolts, and welded joints.
- Ensure that efficiency is maximized while installing HVAC systems in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to Startup and commission HVAC equipment.
- Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including while using tools and installing and fabricating duct systems.
- Good housekeeping and organization.
- Work well independently.
Qualifications:
- 308A Sheetmetal License
- G2 – G3 Gas license (G1 an asset)
- Valid G license with a clean driver abstract.
- Commercial and industrial HVAC experience is an asset.
- Must be competent in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Must be able to understand electrical and plumbing concepts.
- Must have basic knowledge of construction methods.
- Must be able to operate tools, gauges, and other testing equipment for HVAC systems.
