Job Description:

Contract: 18 months

The coordinator must be available to work at Sun Life's downtown Montreal office when required.

Reporting to the Director, Outreach and Communications, Office of the President, Quebec, the coordinator is responsible for supporting the team's projects. These projects involve public relations, executives outreach within the Quebec market, communications to drive employee engagement in regard to the business strategy, sponsorships, and philanthropy. The coordinator is a creative, organized, detail and solutions-oriented communications specialist, able to understand complex concepts and create engaging content for our various internal and external audiences.

Accountabilities:

  • Support team members in project execution, whether it be project management, content writing, follow-ups with internal or external stakeholders, or administrative support. This can include:

    • supporting in-house events (sending invitations, tracking registrations, preparing and analyzing satisfaction surveys);

    • monitoring visibility-related items of our business partnerships;

    • following-up on requests for donations and sponsorships;

    • managing ticket distribution for external events;

    • coordinating billing, translation, and creative services.

  • Produce clear, engaging content, while ensuring its adaptation to target audiences and preferred channels: social media posts, PowerPoint presentations, briefing documents, Q&As, quarterly and annual reviews, etc.

  • Coordinate and support francization initiatives within the company, namely the creation and management of follow-up tools.

  • Coordinate and support external employer branding projects, including advertising campaigns.

  • Monitor performance indicators regularly and review them annually.

  • Actively participate in team activities and events organized at the company's offices in Montreal.

  • Excellent content writing skills

  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or event management

  • 3 years' experience in a support position or equivalent role

Assets:

  • Familiarity and experience with financial services industry

  • Proven social media and digital tools skills

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
