Carpenters construct, erect, install, maintain and repair structures and components of structures made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. They read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. They measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. They build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. They fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware, maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.

Employment Requirements:
(a) Basic English required

(b) Completion of secondary school required

(c) Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program or three years of work experience as a carpenter required

Head office is at 370, 4111 Hastings Street, Burnaby, BC but jobs will be at different locations throughout the Lower Mainland of British Columbia

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
