New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) has an exciting and new role of Director of Global Partnerships and is looking for an exceptional individual who has a strategic vision mindset and who can convert discussions into meaningful partnerships while focusing on achieving short, mid and long term strategic goals of NBCC. Graduate level education with at least five years of management and supervisory experience. Progressive international leadership experience in international business development. Proven experience in strategic planning and management in an academic setting. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build relationships at all levels within an institution and manage key partnerships with senior stakeholders. Experience managing and leading cross-cultural teams with proven results, as well as significant leadership experience with regards to managing resources Demonstrated ability to compile, analyze and synthesize data (quantitative and qualitative) relating to large, complex, and multi-jurisdictional networks, consortia, or projects. Demonstrated ability to align policies and operations with broader institutional goals. Strong knowledge of current trends, policies, legislation, and best practices relevant to international higher education. Creating a network of contacts within the global education community. Candidates must possess a valid Driver's License and a Valid Passport, as travel will be required. The international travel requirement for this position could be up to two months per year. Responsibilities Reporting to the Vice President of Academic, Innovation and Student Affairs, the Director of Global Partnerships is a pivotal leadership role at the College that will be tasked with leading the charge in advancing the institution's internationalization endeavors, developing and implementing a strategic plan that cultivates and fosters collaborations and partnerships with international institutions, facilitating cross-cultural exchange initiatives, and seamlessly integrating global perspectives into the curriculum. In collaboration with Student Services, this position will actively oversee and manage a range of support services for international partnerships and contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and promoting an inclusive campus atmosphere. By adeptly managing budgets and utilizing technology for data analysis, the Director of Global Partnerships will significantly contribute to preparing students for success in a diverse and interconnected world. Responsible for collaborating with the Academic Leadership team to develop and implement a holistic Globalization strategy aligned with the organization's mission and goals. Accountable for developing and implementing short to medium term strategies on how to execute the long-term vision of the Department. Developing international partnerships: Responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with colleges, universities, organizations, and institutions globally that are mutually beneficial and contribute to the international positioning of the College. Global Curriculum Integration: Accountable for working with academic departments in the provision of guidance on the integration of global perspectives into the curriculum, fostering cross-cultural understanding and preparing students for a globalized workforce. Collaboration on International Student Support: Accountable for working with and supporting Student Services, the Registrar's Office, the Recruitment team, and the Academic Leadership team in the provision of support services for international students, including orientation programs, immigration assistance, academic advising, and cultural adjustment support. Policy Development & Compliance: Accountable for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies related to international students, study abroad programs, and partnerships, including immigration laws, academic standards, and safety protocols. Technology and Data Analytics: Responsible for collecting and analyzing data on international student enrollment, study abroad participation, and program outcomes to assess effectiveness and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
