Responsibilities:
- Creates, maintains, and updates all job descriptions for the company.
- Coordinates and oversees recruitment and hiring.
- Manages employee orientation, onboarding and offboarding.
- Helps identify training and development needs; develops and facilitates courses as required.
- Helps develop performance appraisal process.
- Addresses employee relations issues in a confidential and timely manner.
- Advises and coaches leadership team in discipline, coaching of employees and performance management.
- Supports the implementation of HR and organizational change initiatives.
- Partner with Health & Safety Manager to oversee and chair the safety committee.
- 3 – 5 years' experience in a human resources generalist capacity
- Post-secondary certificate/diploma/degree in human resources
- Experience in recruitment and training initiatives is an asset
- Demonstrated leadership and relationship building skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong organizational skills and a high degree of flexibility
- Dynamic, self-motivated, pro-active, team player who can take initiative and work independently
